A Coventry school has applied to build an extension. Longford Park Primary School wants to knock down a garage and build an infill extension on its south-west corner.

The building would be single storey and used by children who need additional learning help. It will match the look of the existing school building on Windmill Road, a planning statement said.

The development would provide a "needed facility for local children," it added. The block would be set away from the boundary with people's homes and would not have a negative impact on neighbours, the statement said.

Plans were lodged by Coventry council earlier this year. Officers at the council have not yet made a decision on the scheme. Plans can be viewed online under reference PL/2024/0000414/FUL.
