Cow Escapes Trailer, Charges Down Busy Michigan Highway
A cow escaped a trailer and galloped down US-131 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Friday, December 1, causing traffic to slow on the busy highway.
Bethany Patterson recorded this video, and told Storyful she and her 18-month-old daughter were heading to her parents’ house when she received a notification from a navigation app about a traffic slowdown.
“All of a sudden, on the left side of the road, I saw a big black shape, moving,” she said. “It took me a while to process it, and realized that it was a cow!”
According to local news reports, police said a lock failed on a trailer hauling six cows, and one managed to get loose. A police officer and wranglers managed to catch the cow and return it to the trailer.
No injuries, bovine or otherwise, were reported. Credit: Bethany Patterson via Storyful
