Crews Battle Forest Fire in Spain

More than 200 firefighters in Spain kept up efforts against a forest fire burning in the Alicante province on Monday, April 15, footage shows.

Video taken by Spain’s Unidad Militar de Emergencias (UME) shows crews at work as a helicopter drops water on the fire burning between Tarbena and Xalo.

The fire broke out on Sunday and had grown to 2,470 acres, forcing the evacuations of 180 people, according to local reports.

Two people were arrested for alleged involvement in an uncontrolled agricultural burn, which is believed to have started the fire, local media reported. Credit: UME via Storyful
