Crews Fight Major Grass Fire in Central Nebraska

Nebraska Gov Jim Pillen declared a state of disaster for central Nebraska on Monday, February 26, as firefighters battled a large grass fire.

The fire prompted evacuations as it spread into eastern parts of Lincoln County and Dawson County, reports said.

Footage shows crews with the Merna Volunteer Fire Department observing the scene. They were among several volunteer fire departments from across central Nebraska responding to the fire.
