Crowded House at Eden Sessions 2024 review: Antipodean rock legends' 'stellar' set spans the decades
The Eden Sessions got off to a joyous start with Crowded House playing the first show of their Gravity Stairs Tour. The Australasian rock icons performed a decades-spanning set in front of a packed Eden crowd, playing songs from their new album Gravity Stairs - and they sound as invigoratingly wonderful as ever.
The band kicked off their two-hour show with World Where You Live from their 1986 self-titled debut, then straight into new song Oh Hi. A stellar performance of Fall at Your Feet gave us those incredible harmonies and received a huge hand from the packed Eden crowd.
The new songs really show how great Neil Finn's vocals are, backed by vocals and the tight rhythm section of Nick Seymour and Elroy Finn.

The remainder of the show was a mixture of songs from the new album, old classics and a few back catalogue tunes for the die hard fans. And it's clear that the band are enjoying performing.
Just before closing the main set with Weather with You, Finn told the crowd that Cornwall was a great way to start the tour and said that they'd been on the zip wire over the biomes earlier in the day.
The band returned for an encore of Something So Strong and It's Only Natural before closing with Better Be Home Soon.
