Croydon West General Election 2024 results in full with winner gaining 14,000 majority

Labour's Sarah Jones has won the new Croydon West seat with 20,612 votes and a 14,226 majority. There were 38,304 votes cast in total, with a 49 per cent turnout.

The constituency was created for the 2024 General Election following the 2023 boundary review and takes in parts of the old Croydon Central constituency. It covers the Croydon Council wards of Bensham Manor, Broad Green, Fairfield, Selhurst, South Norwood, Waddon, West Thornton and part of Woodside.

Labour and Co-operative member Sarah Jones became the MP for the former Croydon Central constituency. In 2017 she won Croydon Central seat from the Conservatives with a 5,652 majority and 29,873 votes, beating out Gavin Barwell's 24,221 votes.

Before becoming an MP, Jones worked as a civil servant and was part of the team delivering the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
