CRUISE ship Carnival Legend - docking for the first time this season - is the latest large vessel to arrive at Greenock Ocean Terminal this summer.

The 88,500-tonne ship stopped off in the town this morning as part of a nine-day trip around Britain and Ireland.

With a capacity of more than 2,000 guests, the liner, built in 2002 and christened by Judi Dench, stretches to almost 1,000ft in length and is one of three cruise ships to visit the area this week.

Oceania Marina is due in tomorrow (Tuesday) before regular favourite Regal Princess returns on Sunday.
