Customer Smashes Sneeze Guard at Sydney Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia has urged people to respect the right of pharmacy staff to safety, following an incident at a Sydney store in which a sneeze guard was smashed by a “disgruntled customer”.

Pharmacist Ahmed Ouf, who was serving the customer, said, “I’ve been attacked verbally lots of times but as a health care professional who is on the frontline, I never thought that this would happen to me.”

The incident was at a Pharmacy4Less store in Auburn, Sydney, late on October 19, the Pharmacy Guild said. Credit: Pharmacy Guild of Australia via Storyful
