Cyclist injured in crash with car near Gallagher Retail Park in Coventry

A cyclist was left injured after being hit by a car in Coventry. It happened near Gallagher Retail Park yesterday morning (Thursday, July 4).

Paramedics were called to Stoney Stanton Road at around 9.50am. Crews found that a car and a cyclist had been involved in a collision opposite McDonalds.

Medics assessed a woman, who was the cyclist, and she was found to have sustained minor injuries. She was discharged at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC on Stoney Stanton Road in Coventry at around 9.50am.

“Crews were sent to the scene where, on arrival, they discovered a car and a cyclist had been involved in a collision near Gallagher Retail Park. A woman, the cyclist, was treated for minor injuries before being discharged at the scene.”
