An image of a man the police would like to speak to following an assault in Knaresborough has been released.

Between 11am and 11.30am on Sunday, June 2, a man assaulted another man and a woman on Abbey Road in Knaresborough. The assault caused minor injuries to both victims.

Now, North Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal for information as they look for the man pictured. They believe he may have information which could assist their investigation.

The police said: "We’ve issued this image of a man we would like to speak to following an assault in the Knaresborough area.

"It happened between 11am and 11.30am on Sunday 2 June on Abbey Road, Knaresborough and involved a man assaulting a man and a woman causing minor injuries to both victims.

"Please contact us if you recognise the man pictured, as he may have information that will assist our investigation."
