In the short clip, he says: "It's great to be joining Channel 5 but news is never about who sits in the chair, it's the stories that matter the most from a team you can trust."
Walker will be appearing weekdays on the news programme which broadcasts at 5pm, earlier than the other channels.
To take up his role with Channel 4, Walker left the BBC where he co-hosted the Breakfast show with Sally Nugent.

Upon joining the channel, Walker said in a statement: “I can’t wait to get stuck into the daily news show but I am also excited about making some great new TV for Channel 5. I love their ideas and creativity and it’s rare to get an opportunity like this where paths and ambitions meet. The chance to do something different was too good to turn down.”
Walker is replacing Sian Williams as the lead anchor of Channel 5's news bulletin. Williams previously co-hosted the news from 2016 but since stepping down, will front more documentaries for the channel.
Walker is also renowned for his sports presenting. He hosted the BBC's Football Focus between 2009 and 2021 before being replaced by former player Alex Scott.
He has also been a part of the BBC teams at various World Cups and reported regularly for Final Score and Match of the Day.
Most recently, he was named host of The NFL Show after previous host Mark Chapman decided to step down.
On the show, Walker fronts a recap of everything going on in the world of NFL with former players Jason Bell and Osi Umenyiora.
