A DANCE performance looking at the issue of mental health will take place at a Bradford museum later this month.

Bradford Industrial Museum will welcome Coalesce Dance Theatre for the performance on Sunday May 19.

Titled threads: a story of friendship, identity and mental health, the free performance is “a poignant and powerful story about mental health, friendship and identity.”

It uses stories from young people across the North of England to weave together an emotive and uplifting contemporary dance and physical theatre performance about growing into adulthood.

threads turns the spotlight on mental health and how important friendship and support can be when it comes to navigating adolescence.

Performed amongst tossed away clothes and a large wardrobe structure, two dancers use a highly physical movement language to connect and explore their intertwined experiences.

The performance is suitable for people over the age of 12.

There will be performances at noon and 1.30pm, with each performance lasting 30 minutes.
