Dancing FBI agent drops gun during backflip and accidentally shoots bystander
An off-duty FBI agent accidentally shot a man in the leg while dancing in a bar in Denver, Colorado.
The unnamed officer was performing a backflip at the Mile High Spirits and Distillery bar when his gun fell from his holster and fired a shot.
He’d attracted attention on the dance floor where other customers had began to film his moves.
However, videos showed the swift change of mood as shocked patrons screamed at the sound of the gun.
According to Ryan Haarer, a 9News reporter, it happened around 12:45am MDT on Saturday morning.
The unfortunate bystander was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Denver Police Department said the agent ‘was dancing at a nightclub when his firearm became dislodged from its waistband holster and fell on to the floor. When the agent retrieved his handgun an unintended discharge occurred’.
