Dancing on Ice winner Ryan Thomas on acting return hopes
Dancing on Ice winner Ryan Thomas has shared his hopes of returning to acting.
The former Coronation Street star and his professional skating partner Amani Fancy triumphed in last week's (March 10) tense final against Made in Chelsea's Miles Nazaire and radio DJ Adele Roberts.
Speaking to The Daily Star, Ryan revealed that he is ready to return to the screen following his skating success.
"Returning to acting is something I have been talking about. It is my trade after all, so I need to use that to the best of my advantage," he said.

"There's no definite role and it would all depend on what comes up but we'll see what happens."
A source also told the publication that Ryan's Dancing on Ice victory has landed him "all kinds of offers," which include acting roles.
"Winning Dancing on Ice will definitely open lots of doors for Ryan. He's been receiving all kinds of offers, including acting jobs. If a big role came his way he would be mad to turn it down," they said.
The actor is best known for playing Jason Grimshaw in Corrie for 16 years, before leaving the soap in 2016. Ryan later swapped Weatherfield for Erinsborough when he joined the cast of Neighbours as Rafael Humphreys.

In 2021, Ryan explained that suffering a number of "rejections" led him to quit acting, saying: "I started off acting, I started off in that game and I really lost the bug for it.
"I feel the reason for losing the bug is rejection and going to auditions and not getting them. I went over to do Neighbours and I just saw on social media that there were quite negative comments towards me and my acting.
"I've never had that before because social media wasn't around. I never got it in Corrie because I never had social media when I was in Corrie. And if I did, it was at the end, but I was so established in there that people just saw me as fixtures and fittings."
Dancing on Ice airs on Sundays at 6.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
