Yahoo News Dancing on Ice's Vanessa Bauer finally breaks silence on Joey Essex romance
Dancing on Ice star Vanessa Bauer has finally spoken about her rumoured romance with Joey Essex, confirming they are an item.
The pair were partnered on the most recent series of the ITV skating show, though speculation has been rife that they were involved more intimately.
Speaking to The Sun, Vanessa explained: "Me and Joey, we're doing very good – we are doing really good at the moment."
When asked if they are romantically happy, the skater then added: "I'm very happy."

Vanessa also addressed speculation of a split after she was seen holidaying recently without Joey, though explained that she just needed to refuel after Dancing on Ice.
"Dancing on Ice is so intense and I feel everybody needs downtime after the show," she said. "I needed time out after the show and I feel after six seasons of doing it, I feel like Thailand is my happy place. There is a lot more bikini pictures to come."
She also praised Joey, saying: "Joey is a very serious guy behind closed doors, he worked so hard – it's been an incredible series. We were close to winning but it was never about winning, we won anyway."

Last month, ahead of the recent series' finale – where she and her partner placed second behind winners Nile Wilson and Olivia Smart – Vanessa spoke about the strong bond she had formed with Joey over the series.
"This time I've got Joey with me," she said (via The Sun). "Obviously we have a bond like I didn't have with any of my other partners. It's going to be special."
