Usually, no one is sent home in the first episode as only half of the couples skate, followed by the other half in week two when there will be a skate off between the bottom couples from each of the first two episodes.
Who are the celebrities and their partners in Dancing On Ice 2023?
This season has the fewest number of celebrities taking part in years, with just 11 signed up - although there are usually a few stand-ins waiting in the wings for the inevitable accidents and injuries.
DJ and former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer has been matched with show veteran Matt Evers, who has been with the ITV1 contest since the first season.

Reality star Joey Essex seems to have struck gold by being paired with Vanessa Bauer who has been the pro half of some of the show's most successful couples in recent years.
Love Islander Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is skating with Brendyn Hatfield, while The Vivienne has been matched with Colin Grafton.
The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran has been matched with Klabera Komini, and Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson will skate with fellow Olympian and pro cast newcomer Olivia Smart.
Married pro couple Alexandra Schauman and Łukasz Różycki are both back again this season - she is skating with John Fashanu and he has been matched with Michelle Heaton.
Returning pro Sylvain Longchambon is back on the ice after a few years away and is continuing his run of being paired with soap stars as he skates with Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher.
West End star and former Hollyoaks actor Carly Stenson has bagged a big name from the show's cast with Mark Hanretty as her partner.
Finally, comedian Darren Harriott completes the cast with his partner Tippy Packard.
Who are the Dancing On Ice 2023 judges?
The judging panel remains the same this series, and of course is headed up by Olympic gold medallists and show veterans Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
As well as judging the contest, Torvill and Dean will offer pointers to the celebrities in training and help to choreograph their routines.
Dean has had a less-than-ideal start to the series as he tripped over a suitcase and broke his finger just days before the launch episode.
Joining Torvill and Dean again on the judging panel are Diversity dancer and choreographer Ashley Banjo, and former Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are back to host the series again.
Who won Dancing On Ice 2022?
The reigning champions of Dancing On Ice are Regan Gascoigne and Karina Manta.
Dancer and son of Gazza Gascoigne fought off tough competition from Brendan Cole and Kimberly Wyatt to win the trophy.
Pro skater Manta is not returning to the cast this year.
Dancing On Ice returns on Sunday, 15 January at 6.30pm on ITV1.
