Dani Dyer told contraceptive coil is 'missing' inside her as she 'almost had fourth child'

Dani Dyer was left gobsmacked after a routine check-up revealed her contraceptive coil had mysteriously gone "missing" inside her body, prompting fears she could have almost had a fourth child.

The 27 year old Love Island star took to social media to recount the alarming discovery to her 3.8 million Instagram followers.

She humorously reflected on the potential of expanding her brood unexpectedly due to the unfortunate mishap.

Detailing the incident online, Dani explained that she needed surgery to extract the Mirena coil, which had shifted from its original position in her womb.

The Love Island winner described how the coil is typically placed through the vagina and cervix into the womb, where it unfolds, the Mirror reports.

However, Dani's device had "completely dislodged and moved" necessitating professional medical intervention to retrieve it from her uterus.

Sharing the saga with her fans, Dani, daughter of EastEnders star Danny Dyer, said: "So long story cut short because I do like to ramble.

"I had to have a couple of appointments today for a nurse to check my Mirena coil. I've not really been getting on with it and I thought let's just go and get it checked and see what's going on."

"It's gone missing. It's completely dislodged and moved. He said what's happened is so rare so I don't want to scare anyone but I've got to have key hole surgery because of where it is embedded.

"It's nothing major but I just can't believe what has happened. Imagine, I could have ended up with a fourth child this year."

The Mirena coil is a popular form of birth control and is also used to treat heavy menstrual bleeding and provide protection for the womb during menopause.

Dani Dyer, known from her stint on Love Island, has twin daughters, Summer and Star, with her beau, West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen.

She also has a two year old son, Santiago, with her ex partner Sammy Kimmence, a former stockbroker, who was sentenced to 42 months in prison in 2021 after defrauding elderly victims of a staggering £34,000.

However, it seems that Dani's current relationship with Bowen, who she met on social media three years ago, is bringing her joy.

The couple began their romance in 2021, and Dani shared with her followers: "He slid in mine...however, I did have to give him my number, I can't be doing the DMs for days haha x."

After welcoming her children, Dani moved back home to be closer to her father, tough-guy actor Danny Dyer, who was reportedly apprehensive about becoming a grandad.

Yet, in recent times, Danny has embraced his role as a loving grandfather, showing off his gentler side.
