Former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook has given fans an update on how she's doing following her battle with drugs.

Speaking from rehab in a video for The Sun, Westbrook says: "I'm in a wonderful place and I'm truly blessed again."

Westbrook checked into the Villa Paradiso facility in Spain last month, and is reported to be taking part in yoga sessions, eating nutritious meals and talking through her struggles with therapists.

"I'm having a great time," she adds. "I've been here three and a half weeks – my head is straight, I'm not on any medication, I'm not taking any drugs and I've worked loads on myself and loads on my past issues.

"All the stuff that I felt I got left with at the end of last year I'm dealing with and I feel strong. I feel really strong.

"I'm happy to be doing this but looking forward to seeing my kids in a few weeks and looking forward to getting back to work and all the exciting things I've got coming up."

She also gave a shout-out to her former EastEnders co-stars Pasty Palmer and Dean Gaffney, the latter of whom was announced to be rejoining the soap this week.

Meanwhile, Pasty Palmer showed her support for Westbrook on Loose Women, saying "(she) is so sweet. We all went through our own struggles. It was intense".

Danniella also addressed her friends and fans, saying "thank you one and all for everything".
