Danniella Westbrook has said she hates her appearance and that she is frequently trolled with some people telling her to kill herself.

The former EastEnders star suffered damage to her nasal septum as a result of past cocaine abuse and has also previously said that a botched surgery left her with osteoporosis which is making the bones in her face weaken.

She is currently undergoing facial reconstructive surgery and told The Sun she hopes it will stop her getting so much abuse.

Westbrook, 48, said: “I hate the way I look. I’m constantly made fun of, and trolled for it.

“People message me, saying, ‘You’re so ugly, you’re a junkie, you should just go and kill yourself’. I’ve also had messages saying they are glad I’m not coming back to EastEnders because no one wants me scaring their kids on the telly.”

Westbrook — who found fame as Sam Mitchell on the BBC soap — said she pretends she is fine but doesn’t always feel that way.

“Sometimes I wake up and think ‘I don’t want to die today but I don’t want to face the world either’,” she said.

The star announced last year that she was having work done to “rebuild” her face and that she was looking to the future when it would all be finished.

“Can’t wait for all my surgery to be done… will be back to my best and fighting fit and next year I will be 50!" she wrote on Instagram.

“I’m ready for a full transformation physically,” she went on.

"I’ve spent a lot of time alone the last six months. I’ve been working on myself and my spiritual side has already begun evolving, I’ve cut the deadbeats and energy draining people out of my life.
