Danny Dyer has congratulated his daughter Dani on the birth of her first child with a heartfelt message saying he can’t wait to meet his grandchild.
EastEnders star Dyer, 43, became a grandfather for the first time on Saturday when his daughter welcomed her new baby son.
He shared the photo of Dani cradling her newborn in hospital with the caption: “So my baby had a baby. F*** me we needed some joy this year. So proud of you @danidyerxx cannot wait to meet the little beaut.”
Love Island winner Dani shared the happy news that she and boyfriend Sammy Kimmence had become parents over the weekend with a post on Instagram.
She wrote: “After a very long day and night finally our special little boy arrived 23/01/2021.
“Weighing 7 pound..
“We are in a complete baby bubble and enjoying every moment, can not believe he is ours, completely in love and so grateful to be his mummy.
“Sending all my love to all the other mommas to be out there in lockdown.. the best experience ever will never forget this day.”
Dani, 24, had previously told Lorraine that her dad couldn’t believe he was going to be a grandad.
Talking about the advice he had offered her, she said: “He is really excited for me. He’s like, ‘Listen Dan, as long as they’re fed and you give them loads of love, you’ll be fine.'”
Dani originally won Love Island with Jack Fincham, but the pair split after a short on-off relationship.
She then rekindled her romance with Kimmence, who had been her boyfriend before she appeared on Love Island, and in July they announced that they were expecting their first baby.
