Danny Huston, Graham Greene, Martin Sensmeier, Oliver Trevena & Devaughn Nixon Join Joel Kinnaman Thriller ‘Ice Fall’, Filming Underway In Bulgaria

EXCLUSIVE: Danny Huston (Wonder Woman), Oscar nominee Graham Greene (Dances with Wolves), Martin Sensmeier (Yellowstone), Oliver Trevena (Plane) and DeVaughn Nixon (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty) are joining Joel Kinnaman and Cara Jade Myers in thriller Ice Fall.

Also joining are Frida Gustavsson (Vikings Valhalla) and Will Fletcher (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power)

As we previously revealed, Stefan Ruzowitzky (The Counterfeiters) is directing from a script by George Mahaffey (Chief of Station). Filming is underway in Bulgaria.

The film centers on a young Indigenous game warden who arrests an infamous poacher only to discover that the poacher knows the location of a plane carrying millions of dollars that has crashed in a frozen lake. When a group of criminals and dirty cops are alerted to the poacher’s whereabouts, the warden and the poacher team up to fight back and escape across the treacherous lake before the ice melts.

Producers are Arclight Films’ Gary Hamilton and Ying Ye, Addam Bramich, Top Film’s Volodymyr Artemenko and Eugene Stupka, Ryan Hamilton and Rob Van Norden. Executive producers are Kelly Hamilton, Oliver Trevena and Arclight Films’ Brian Beckmann. Top Film is also financing the film. Arclight Films is handling worldwide sales.

Huston will next be seen in Viggo Mortensen’s The Dead Don’t Hurt, Lionsgate’s The Crow, and Kevin Costner’s Horizon. Greene’s recent TV credits include Hulu’s Reservation Dogs and HBO’s The Last of Us. Sensmeier has the lead in the upcoming film Wind River: Rising, directed by Kari Skogland, and he stars in the upcoming indie film, Cottonmouth, opposite Ron Perlman and Esai Morales.

Trevena stars with Olga Kurylenko in recently wrapped Misdirection, and recently appeared in Renny Harlin’s The Bricklayer with Aaron Eckhart and Nina Dobrev. Nixon was most recently seen as one of the leads in HBO’s Winning Time: Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and in the final two seasons of F/X’s Snowfall.
