The series is an adaptation of Blake Crouch’s 2016 novel of the same name. As you can see in the video above, Edgerton plays Jason Dessen, a physicist, professor and happy husband/dad in Chicago who gets kidnapped one night and wakes up in an alternate version of his life. As the story progresses, per the official logline, “he embarks on a harrowing journey to get back to his true family and save them from the most terrifying, unbeatable foe imaginable: himself.” Connelly plays Daniela, Jason’s wife.
The cast also includes Alice Braga (Queen of the South), Jimmi Simpson (Westworld), Dayo Okeniyi (Shades of Blue) and Oakes Fegley (Person of Interest). Crouch is series creator, executive producer, showrunner and writer; other EPs include Matt Tolmach (Spider-Man: No Way Home), David Manpearl (Stay Alive) and Edgerton.
