Dashcam Captures Terrifying Motorcycle Crash in Melbourne Suburb

A motorcyclist was lucky to be in stable condition after a crash that sent them flipping over the hood of a car in the Melbourne suburb of Camberwell, Australia.

Nick Tang, a real estate agent based in Victoria, owns the dash camera that recorded this video in late February. He told Storyful he was on his way to an appointment when he stopped at a red light and witnessed the crash. He said he was making a phone call to a client at the time of the recording, and was in shock for a “good 30-40 seconds.”

“[I] didn’t know what to do and didn’t expect to witness that on a regular day at work. I felt like I was witnessing a Hollywood extreme action movie scene in person,” he said. “I have never seen anything like this before in my whole life.”

He added that debris from the bike damaged the lower front panel of his car. He told Storyful he got out of his car a few minutes later to see if the biker and driver needed help.

“The car driver was taking his wife home from their grocery shopping,” he said. “The police and emergency team turned up about 10-15 minutes later.”

According to local reports the motorbike rider was taken to the hospital in stable condition, and police were investigating the crash.
