Dashcam footage shows dealer hurling £140k of heroin onto M56 during 'dangerous' chase

Dashcam shows the moment a drug dealer was seen hurling £140,000-worth of heroin onto the M56 during a 'dangerous' police chase - before he was pounced on at Manchester Airport.

Neil Corrigan launched the two kilos of Class A drugs onto the carriageway as he sped off from officers, before weaving through traffic, going the wrong way round a roundabout and smashing into a barrier next to a multi-storey car park at Terminal One.

Corrigan had failed to stop and instead drove away when police attempted to pull him over in Warrington on March 5 this year. His sprinter van was seen in dashcam footage driving along the hard shoulder before cutting in front of a lorry and throwing a large package out of the window in the process.

He was seen weaving in and out of traffic at speed, before driving onto the A555 towards Manchester Airport. He was seen mounting the kerb and going around a roundabout in the wrong direction before eventually ploughing into a barrier near to the entrance of a multi-storey car park at Terminal One.

His plan to on foot then failed. Footage also released by Cheshire Constabulary from a police helicopter, called in to assist, shows the moment he was tracked down near to the Radisson Blu hotel and pounced on by officers.

Officers returned to the M56 where they recovered two brown packages each containing 1kg of Heroin. Another two empty brown bags were also recovered, containing the remnants of a large amount of Heroin which had spilt over the carriageway.

A police drugs expert estimated that the 2kg of Heroin which was recovered by officers had a street value of £142,850.00, meaning that it is likely that Corrigan was transporting more than £285,000 worth of illegal drugs in total.

Corrigan, of Main Street, Scarborough, had earlier pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin), dangerous driving, failing to stop and driving without insurance.
