Foo Fighters frontman Dave Ghrol appears to have taken a cheeky swipe at global superstar Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" days before the band's Birmingham date. The former Nirvana star seemed to suggest Swift and her band did not play live as both acts performed in London on Saturday, June 22.

Grohl told his crowd at the London Stadium: "We were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know she's on her 'Eras Tour'. I'm telling you man; you don't want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.

"So we like to call our tour the 'Errors Tour' because I feel like, we've had more than a few eras, and more than a few f****** errors as well. Just a couple. That's because we actually play live. What?"

He said later: "I'm just saying, you guys like raw, live rock 'n' roll music, right? You came to the right f****** place."

Grohl's quip sparked reaction online, with several fans voicing their thoughts. One TikTok user commented under a video clip of Grohl making the remark: "Come on Dave, we don't do that," reports Wales Online.

Another said: "The errors tour is literally already a term created by swifties BECAUSE of her making mistakes while playing live. He thought he did something there (this is coming from a Foo Fighters fan)."

Someone else jumped to his defence, saying: "Think he's just joking." Swift seemingly addresed the remark during her third Wembley Stadium show on Sunday, June 23. She expressed her gratitude to her band for their live performance throughout the set.

Addressing the crowd, she said: "What you just did is an unforgettable moment in not just my life, but every very single one of our crew. The band that's going to be playing live for you for three-and-a-half hours tonight. They deserve this so much and so does every one of my fellow performers, and you just gave that to us so generously. We'll never forget it."

The Foo Fighters are set to rock the Principality Stadium in Cardiff tomorrow, June 25, and Villa Park in Birmingham on June 27 as part of their UK tour. Swift's tour is also in full swing, with another date lined up at Wembley Stadium in August.
