David Beckham and Kathryn Jenkins reunite at Wimbledon after affair denial and row

David Beckham cut a dashing figure as he made his grand entrance at Wimbledon on the opening day of the prestigious tennis tournament.

The much-anticipated annual event at SW19 kicked off today (Monday, July 1), drawing in a host of celebrities eager to witness the world's top tennis players compete on centre court.

A familiar face at the tournament, David looked the epitome of style in an exquisite Hugo Boss suit as he enjoyed the day with his mother Sandra. The tailored beige two-piece was perfectly complemented by a crisp blue cotton shirt and an elegant golden tie.

His sartorial choice comes hot on the heels of his new lucrative deal as the global ambassador for the high-end brand.

To complete his look, David chose a pair of chic sunglasses from his own DB Eyewear collection, reports the Mirror.

Yet, the day could have been tinged with tension as David was set to cross paths with Katherine Jenkins after he had previously refrained from apologising for his disparaging remarks about her OBE. Awarded the honour himself in 2023 for his contributions to football, David had expressed discontent when Katherine received her accolade in 2018.

The ex-England skipper, aged 49, allegedly vented his frustration in an email that was subsequently leaked, where he mentioned the 44 year old Welsh songstress, saying: "Katherine Jenkins OBE for what? Singing at the rugby and going to see the troops plus taking coke. F***ing joke."

Katherine Jenkins has spoken out about the hurtful comments allegedly made by David Beckham, despite not having reached out to him for clarification or receiving an apology.

The Welsh singer, who was seen sitting a row behind Beckham during the opening day's events, previously stated: "I don't know why, again, that was aimed at me. I also don't feel the need to defend this, by the way. I know what I've done and when I got the OBE it was given to me for music and for charity."

She further dismissed Beckham's remarks as irrelevant, maintaining her focus on "my kids, my family, my singing, my charities," and dismissing everything else as "just white noise in the background".

In a chat with The Sun, Katherine expressed her disappointment, saying: "It's obviously disappointing. I've never heard anything from them about it. You just think, Aw, I wasn't doing anything.' To get caught up in that wasn't pleasant. I don't know why, again, that was aimed at me. I also don't feel the need to defend this, by the way. I know what I've done and when I got the OBE it was given to me for music, and for charity."

The duo had previously faced accusations of an affair, which Katherine promptly denied on social media. Amidst escalating rumours in August 2012, she took to Twitter to clarify: "Dear Twitter friends, I've read some horrible rumours on here and want u 2 know I absolutely deny I've had an affair with David Beckham."

"The rumours are very hurtful, untrue and my lawyers tell me actionable," she posted at the time.

Katherine was spotted at Wimbledon today, looking elegant in a white dress and chunky black sunglasses, accompanied by Andrew Levitas. The couple were seen walking hand-in-hand to the event.

David was also caught having a conversation with veteran TV broadcaster and biologist, Sir David Attenborough. The 98-year old looked splendid, donning a navy suit and white shirt combination, completed with a multi-coloured patterned tie.

Following Katherine's lead in wearing all-white attire typically associated with the courts were Myleene Klass and Kirsty Gallacher, both choosing crisp summer outfits. They both looked stunning as they arrived in stylish trouser suits.

In other news, Sir Cliff Richard gave photographers a thumbs up as he arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Steph McGovern and Lorraine Kelly were also in attendance, posing for photos alongside Myleene with Champagne Lanson at The Championships.
