Daybreak charity marks a quarter-century of support with year-long celebration

The Hampshire-based charity, Daybreak, has launched celebrations to recognise its 25th year of supporting families in the south of England.

Daybreak was established by Marilyn Taylor in 1999 to incorporate the Māori tradition of Family Group Conferences in Hampshire, helping families and young people to overcome challenges.

The charity is appealing to previous families, employees, and volunteers to help celebrate the impact of their work by sharing their experiences.

Daybreak has facilitated Family Group Conferences in areas including Wiltshire, Sussex, and London; these conferences offer networks the chance to create a practical plan to resolve difficulties.

Coordinators with specific training conduct these sessions, thereby often aiding people to reconnect with their support networks or encouraging them to find a solution.

Stories gathered will be celebrated and shared with supporters and the public throughout the year, in a manner that respects the storyteller's comfort and autonomy.

The 25th-anniversary celebrations encompass a broader range of activities, such as the "25-for-25" fundraising event.
