William (Roy) BAIRSTOW

At his home in Dalton aged 86 years. Beloved husband of Anne, dearly loved dad of Karen and Tracy. Dear father in law, grandad and great grandad. On 12th May at HRI aged 69 years, of Lindley and previously Edgerton. Beloved son of the late Derek and Gladys. Funeral at Huddersfield Crematorium on Tuesday 4th June at 10.30am. Jim BRENNAN

On 7th May 2024, suddenly at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, of Crosland Moor, aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Jacqui, dearly loved dad of Mary, Karen, Sandra and John. Dear father in law of Phil and Leanne and a much loved grandad. David (Dabs) BUCKLEY

(Dabs) On 7th May 2024, suddenly but peacefully, aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband of Dulcie, treasured dad, grandad and great grandad. Dorothy BURNS

On 18th May 2024 peacefully in Calderdale Royal Hospital with her family by her side aged 92 years. Dearly beloved wife of the late Dennis and Ken, a much loved mum, grandma and good friend to many who will be greatly missed. The cortege will leave McNulty Funeral Home, 25 New North Parade on Friday 21st June for service at St Chad's Church, Hove Edge at 11.45am followed by committal at Parkwood Crematorium, Elland at 12.45pm. Mavis DENTON

Peacefully in her own home on Wednesday 8th May at the age of 93 years. Devoted Grandmother of Robert, much loved Mother of late Graham Denton and Mother-in-law to Kath. Fond memories to many around the district from DENTONS TAXIS of New Mill, Mavis was a much loved character by all that knew her and will be dearly missed by all Family and Friends. It was Mavis' wish not to have a funeral but her ashes will be scattered with those of her late Husband Geoffrey Denton.

John GALLACHER

On 11th May 2024 peacefully at his home in Scissett. John Gallacher aged 82 years, the dearly loved husband of the late Marie, the much loved dad of Mark and Angela, dear grandad of Jordon and loved brother of Christine. Graham HUTSON

On Sunday 12th May 2024, at Kirkwood Hospice. Graham, aged 74 years of Holmfirth. Beloved Husband of Yvonne, much loved dad of Michelle and Andrew, proud Grandad of Oliver and Katie and respected father-in-law of John. A dear brother, brother-in-law and a great friend to many, Graham will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. A celebration of Graham's life will be held at All Saints Church, Netherthong on Monday 3rd June at 1pm, followed by a private family committal at Huddersfield Crematorium. Roy KAYE

On 16th May 2024 Roy of Golcar, sadly passed away peacefully aged 70 years, dearly loved husband of Dawn, a much loved dad of Jason, Ryan and Ellie also dear stepdad of Reanna, a proud and loving grandad of Lea, Jamie, Lacey, Kian, Mia and Zak. Dear son of the late Gordon and Eunice Kaye and twin brother of the late Brian. A Service of Celebration for Roy's life will take place at Huddersfield Crematorium Fixby on Friday 31st May 2024, at 10.30am. On 19th May 2024, peacefully at Calderdale Royal Hospital after a long battle with ill health and surrounded by his loving family, Mark aged 51 years. Sandra (Sandie) MALONEY (Graham)

(Graham) (Sandie) Peacefully at HRI on Friday 17th May aged 77 years after a short illness. A much loved mum to Andy, Justine, Dani, Alex and Ped and loving Mother-in-law to Lisa, Paddy, Richard, Ryan and Ann-Louise. Devoted Nanna of Dale, Aaron, Jake, Robin, Autumn and Aoife. Still beloved by Peter. Sandie was much loved by all that knew her and will be dearly missed by all of her Family and Friends. Sandie decided not to have a funeral and her ashes will be scattered amongst nature as per her wishes but those who wish to remember her are asked to plant something in their garden in her memory. Peter NORMAN

Peter passed away on the 9th May at home. He was a beloved father to Mark, grandparent to Adam and Levi and meant a lot to friends, neighbours and colleagues at St Stephen's, Gledholt MVC and Outlane Singers. Peter will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service for Peter will be held at St Stephen's Church, Lindley at 2pm on Thursday 30th May, 2024 where all are welcome to attend. On 14th May 2024 peacefully at Calderdale Royal Hospital aged 80 years. Much loved husband to Linda, loving dad to Andrew, Angela and Lee, a dear father-in-law, a proud grandad and friend to many. Anne Elizabeth PLACE

Suddenly but peacefully at home on the 29th April 2024, aged 80 years. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Robert William Place (Bill), beloved mother of the late David, and loving friend to many. Anne will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Nigel Andrew ROBINSON

( formerly of Shepley ) It is with great sadness we announce the death of Nigel Andrew Robinson who passed away suddenly at home on 7th May 2024, in Camberley, Surrey, age 65. He was a loving husband to Judy, cherished father to Andrew and Stephen. Doting grandad to Chloe and Audrey. A dearly loved son to Mollie and younger brother to Martin, and great friend to Jim. Heather ROBINSON

It is with great sadness that the loving family of Heather Robinson shares the news of her passing on May 11th at The Huddersfield Royal infirmary. She was aged 63 and surrounded by her close family. Heather was a much-loved wife, mother, grandma, and sister. Beloved wife to Terry for 44 years, cherished mother to three children, Faye, Sophie and Joe and grandma to 6 young grandchildren; Nancy, Phoebe, Lily, Betsy, Lola and Evie. She is also survived by sisters Madeline and Jean who will miss her very much. Born on 16th February 1961 to parents Thomas and Dorothy King she was the youngest sibling of Robert, Madeline and Jean. Heather attended Colne valley high school before later excelling at an open University degree in History which she completed whilst raising three young children. She had a thirst for knowledge and keen ambition to learn. She turned her passion and talent for interior design into a career whilst also running various companies with husband Terry and travelled to many countries throughout her life. Her witty humour, laugh, love of music and dedication to her family will be sorely missed and her spirit will live on in those that knew her best. Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Heather's life at St James Parish Church, Slaithwaite on Friday 7th June at 11am, followed by a cremation for close friends and family at Huddersfield crematorium. A celebration of Heather's life will be held from 12 noon onwards at The Weavers Shed, Golcar. Dress code: Smart but does not have to be black, colour welcome. Family flowers only please.
