Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Thursday 16th May 2024, aged 95 years. Much loved husband of the late Jean, now reunited. Dearly loved dad to Carole, Susan and Elaine, father-in-law to Chris, Andrew and Paul, treasured grandad to Mark, Paul, Lauren, Jonathan, Peter and Martin, also great-grandad to Jasmine, Joseph, Emilia, Aurora, Ella, Esmae, Sophia, Jessica, Adam, Tommy, Lydia and Isabelle. Funeral Service to be held, Monday 17th June, 2.30pm, at Chanterlands Avenue Crematorium, Large Chapel. Family flowers only please, donations to the RAF Benevolent Fund may be left at the service. Passed away peacefully at Hull Royal Infirmary on 16th May 2024 aged 69 years. Brother to Patricia and the late Michael and Peter. Sister in-law Brenda and Uncle to Angela, Sarah, David, Karen and the late Lynn. Service to be held at the small chapel Chanterlands Crematorium on Tuesday, 11th June at 11.00am. No flowers please but donations for the Dogs Trust may be left at the service.

Ronald (Ron) BRODIE

(Ron) Passed away at home on the 10th of May 2024 aged 94 years. Beloved Husband of Marie. Much loved Father of Allan, Ian, Craig and In-laws. Devoted Grandad and Great Grandad. Passed away peacefully on 18th May 2024, aged 85 years. Dearly loved Dad of Jackie, Rich and Lisa. A proud and devoted Grandad to Dan, Joe, Sam and Chloe. Now reunited with his beloved Gwen. (Tim) Peacefully on 19th May 2024 aged 90 years. Reunited with his beloved wife Barbara, loving dad to Tania and Sonia, in-laws Ian and Phil, special grandad to Christopher, Helen, Matthew and Joshua also a great-grandad to George and Owen. Elma FANCEY

Passed away peacefully at Haworth Court Residential Home on 21st May aged 97 years. Much loved sister of twin Marie (deceased) and Greta. Reunited with loving husband Ted. Dearly loved mother of Kevin, in-law Lynne, grandmother of Leah and Stephen and great grandmother of Freya. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, 19th June at Chanterlands Crematorium, small chapel, at 10.00 am. No flowers please, but donations for Cancer Research UK may be left at the service.

Frederick (Freddy) FARNILL

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday 17th May 2024, aged 82. He leaves behind his beloved wife Margaret, devoted children Richard & partner Helena, Angela & son in law Rob. Ever loved grandad to Harrison, Ethan, Clem and Helena & Richard's children. Funeral to take place at St Margaret's church Long Riston on Friday 21st June 2024 at 12pm, followed by a celebration of Fred's life.

Passed away peacefully on the 20th May 2024 aged 86 years. Reunited with loving Husband Malcolm. Dearly loved Mum to Jacqueline, Mandy and In-laws Allen and Olwen. Devoted Grandma to Hollie and Tim. Suddenly on the 19th May 2024 aged 71 years. Dearly loved Husband of Jackie. A much loved Dad, Grandad and Friend. Sadly Mum passed away peacefully on 27th May 2024 in Kalamata Hospital, Greece, following complications after a fall at home. Her 3 children, John, Mike and Jo, were with her, as were 4 of her grandchildren. Much loved, Mum leaves a great legacy of 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Now back with Dad, John and no doubt having a great time xxx

In Memoriams

Sgt Leslie Graham

Sgt, Leslie Graham, 551966, 4th Troop "C" Sqn, died of wounds on June 14th 1944, aged 31. The Regiment began arriving in Normandy on June 9th 1944 with the 7th Armoured Division "Desert Rats". On June 13th Leslie in his armoured car was in the French village of Anctoville when they were struck twice by a German 75mm A/T Gun, resulting in Leslie being wounded in his legs, his crew got him out to safety, however, sadly they could not stop the blood loss and he died the following day June 14th 1944. Leslie was born in Sculcoates on September 14th 1912, the son of Mr Lee (Sculcoates Fishmonger) and Mrs Sarah Ellen (Edmond) Graham.
