Every week, the Northwich & Winsford Guardian publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have died.

As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

Michael Hopley

The Hopley family and Sandra would sincerely like to thank family and friends for the cards, messages of sympathy and their generous donations to The Canal and River Trust in Michael's memory.

Carole Ann Harwood (Image: Harwood family)The 84-year-old, of Dronfield Woodhouse, sadly died in The Green Nursing Home, Dronfield, on Friday, April 5.

Born in Davenham, Carole and her husband Les have lived locally in Derbyshire for 17 years.

Prior to retirement, Carole worked as a clerical officer. Carole's hobbies included reading and listening to music, being outdoors especially walking at places such as Rookery Pool in Cheshire and she also enjoyed watching nature, especially the birds.

Carole and Les liked taking trips to Llandudno where they spent their honeymoon. One of her greatest passions was fashion and shopping, always having a keen eye for colour in clothing.

Most of all Carole loved her family and being a homemaker. Carole leaves behind her loving husband Les and daughters Clare and Val along with two grandchildren.

The funeral service will take place at All Saints' Church, Bakewell, on Wednesday, May 1, at 11am followed by a private cremation.

Family flowers only please but donations in lieu of are invited for Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Tinnitus Support Group.

Anita Woodhouse (née Sibilia)

The 95-year-old, formerly of Hartford, died peacefully at Kitwood House Nursing Home on April 19 after a long illness.

Anita was the beloved wife of the late Bob, much-loved mum of Gill and the late Iain, and sadly missed grandma of Geoff and Mark.

Funeral service and committal will be held at Vale Royal Crematorium on Tuesday, May 7, at 12pm.

William Hender

The 87-year-old sadly died on April 8 at Acorn Hollow Nursing Home.

William was the loving husband of the late Lilian, father to Michael and Andrew, brother to Gillian and much-loved uncle.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, at Walton Lea Crematorium, at 11.20am.

Michael Kennedy

The 84-year-old sadly died April 6.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, at Barnton Cemetery, at 11am.

Lillian Hagan (née Haddock)

The 76-year-old, of Northwich died peacefully in hospital.

Lillian was a much-loved sister and auntie, sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Alan Cowap

The 67-year-old, of Little Leigh and formerly of The Hollybush, sadly died at Redwalls Nursing Home on April 12.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, at St Michael's And All Angels Church, Little Leigh, at 1pm.

Mary Christie

The 79-year-old, of Barnton, died peacefully at Lostock Lodge Care Home on April 15.

Mary was the much-loved mum to Stephen and Sharon, adored grandmother of Reece, Georgia, and Hayden, and mother-in-law to Helen and Phil.

John Eyres

The 84-year-old, of Cuddington, died peacefully on April 16 at Davenham Hall Nursing with his family by his side.

John was the devoted husband of the late Gill, much-loved dad of Rachel and Kirstie, and adored grandad to Ben, Kate, Reuben and Gabriel.
