Debris Scattered Across Mauritius Beach as Tropical Cyclone Freddy Impacts Region

Active cloud bands from Tropical Cyclone Freddy would continue to bring rain and windy weather to Mauritius on Monday, February 20, as the tropical cyclone impacted the region, the Mauritius Meteorological Services (MMS) said.

The MMS said it would provide another update on Tuesday morning as Freddy moved away from the island.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said Freddy was expected to make landfall in Madagascar on Tuesday evening as a Category 4 storm.
