December in Wisconsin off to Frigid Start as Pancake Ice Forms Along Lake Superior Shore

It was a cold start to December for parts of Wisconsin as pancake ice collected on the shores of Lake Superior on Thursday, December 1, amid chilly and icy conditions.

This video was captured by Twitter user @clkoval, who said they recorded it in Ashland on Thursday afternoon. The temperature dipped to 11 degrees Fahrenheit (-12 Celsius) on Wednesday.
