Degrassi alum Annie Clark is married!

The actress, 31, tied the knot on Sunday, May 19 with Luke Karaim in an elegant wedding at the historic Casa Loma castle in Toronto.

The location where the couple said "I do" has always been meaningful to Clark. "It's such a Toronto landmark. When I was little, my mom used to pick me up from daycare and we would walk around the castle and marvel at it," she tells PEOPLE. "It was always a dream of mine to get married there someday."

Clark's planner, Michelle Cundari of Sincerely Yours Events, incorporated romantic, elegant and whimsy elements set against the majestic backdrop of the castle. Decor included a palette of soft pastels, blues, gentle peaches and mint greens, creating a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere.

"The castle's opulent architecture was adorned with lush floral arrangements and gold accents, enhancing the royal vibe," says Cundari.

The pair exchanged traditional vows in a stained glass conservatory with Clark in a Lihi Hod, strapless, A-line, gown with floral embroidery with small sequins sprinkled throughout.

"I knew I wanted an A-line gown from the start, but I couldn’t decide between lace or sparkle," she says. "I was drawn to this dress because of the floral embroidery. It was so different than anything else I had tried. It had the pattern and the sparkle! It came down to two different dresses, but ultimately this one made me feel elegant and like a grown up princess!"

Clark's father officiated the 130-guest ceremony, a memory she'll always cherish.

"One of the most special parts of the ceremony is my dad officiated the wedding. He is a provincial court Judge, and has performed many wedding over the years," she says. "I always knew I wanted him to officiate mine. This one was extra special because it was the last wedding he would ever do before retiring. He and my mom both walked me down the aisle, and then he took his position at the front as the officiant."

Following the vows, guests gathered outside on the terrace overlooking the property's sprawling gardens for cocktail hour which included an oyster bar and an antipasto table, plus passed hors d’oeuvres.

The party then moved into the moody, grand library decked out with shelves of books and crystal chandeliers. The tables were set with fine china and textured linens that provided pops of pastels to match the florals and stationary. Dinner was a three-course plated meal of the castle garden salad, with pine nuts and figs, plus chicken in a white wine sauce and roasted salmon filet, both served with celery root puree, broccolini and carrots.

As a sweet treat they served caramelized banana tiramisu served in an edible chocolate cup, plus, a small, 1-tier, heart-shaped carrot cake with white buttercream icing decorated with retro piping and blue and green pastel rosettes with edible pearls. On the top, in peach icing, it read “just married!”.

"We opted to do a private cake cutting before dinner and instead of serving it, we packed it up to enjoy together the next day (and freeze for later!)," says Clark.

After dinner, guests headed back to the conservatory for dancing and music by an 8-piece band. As late night snacks, a gelato cart was set up next to the dance floor and at 11pm, they served mini cheeseburgers and truffle fries to keep the party going.

Plenty of recognizable faces were also in attendance for the bride's special day.

"One of my bridesmaids was Tik Toker Sam Doll. She was also one of my MCs. If you know her, you know she did an amazing job," says Clark. "It was so special to have a few of my fellow Degrassi actors there to celebrate with us: Cristine Prosperi, who served as a bridesmaid, Charlotte Arnold and Jessica Tyler."

"Completely coincidentally, Drake was having dinner at the restaurant, Blue Bloods inside the castle on the same night!"
