All delays and cancellations as Liverpool Airport power failure grounds flights

Flights have been delayed and cancelled at Liverpool John Lennon Airport this afternoon (Monday).

A power failure has grounded all flights at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) on Monday (April 22), delaying some passengers for hours. Customers have been advised to contact their airline for updates as engineers work to resolve the issue this afternoon.

The airport issued an update following the power failure, it tweeted: "Unfortunately a power failure is impacting Air Traffic Control & aircraft operations are temporarily suspended. Passengers or those meeting flights should contact their airline for the latest flight information. Engineers are working to resolve this asap with up dates to follow".

The failure is impacting air traffic control meaning all flights are currently suspended due to the power failure. Here is a list of all the flights that have been affected so far today, we will continue to update the list below.

  • 3.15pm flight to Lanzarote delayed until 3.55pm

  • 3.45pm to Barcelona delayed until 4.20pm

  • 3.55pm flight to Faro delayed until 4.05pm

  • 4pm flight to Belfast delayed until 5.43pm

  • 4.25pm flight to Dalaman delayed until 5.43pm

  • 4.55pm to Belfast delayed until 5.40pm

Arrivals

  • 1.10pm from Jersey has not been reported to have landed

  • 1.50pm from Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport has not been reported to have landed

  • 2pm from Palma has not been reported to have landed

  • 2.25pm from Dublin has not been reported to have landed
