Long delays have been reported on a major Grimsby road this evening after a crash.

It is reported there has been a collision involving two vehicles on Great Coates Road which has led to it being closed in both directions from Larmour Road to the Toothill roundabout.

It is understood a double-decker bus attempted to turn in the road but has ended up stuck on a grass verge.

Emergency services remained at the scene as of 6pm with vehicles involved awaiting recovery.

At around 6.20pm, traffic reporting system Inrix said: "A1136 Great Coates Road in both directions closed, heavy traffic due to accident from Larmour Road to the Toothill roundabout."
