Delicious street food and beer brewed by monks among tipples at Nottingham craft festival

Nottingham Craft Beer Festival returns to Sneinton Market Avenues for its sixth year, showcasing the finest craft beer produced locally, nationally and beyond. Three sessions will be taking place over Friday June 14, and Saturday, June 15, with more than 40 breweries attending.

The organisers are expecting 5,000 visitors, who will have the chance to sample more than 350 different beers of every style imaginable. This year’s breweries include DEYA Brewing Company from Cheltenham, North Brewery from Leeds, Overtone Brewery from Glasgow, Buxton brewery from Derbyshire and Mount Saint Bernard Abbey, who offer beer brewed by monks from a Trappist order.

Nottingham-based breweries include Bang The Elephant, Black Iris, Castle Rock, Liquid Light, Magpie and Neon Raptor, who have their own tap room on site and are promising to break out their beer slushy machine if the weather is good enough.

Festival organiser Al Gilby said: “Nottingham Craft Beer Festival isn’t just for those with a craft beer obsession. Our ever growing festival is an opportunity to enjoy a unique location in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. We’re probably the only beer festival in the country that has a record shop, an art gallery and an antique shop open on the festival site. You’ll also get a lovely festival glass to take home afterwards and a paper bag at the exit to increase your chances of getting it home in one piece.”

Street food will be on offer from a range of food trucks, curated by the site residents Bustler. Live music and DJs will also feature at each session of the festival.

Tickets are priced at £12+ booking fee for the three festival sessions:

● Friday 14 June (5.30-10.30pm)

● Saturday 15 June (12pm - 5pm)

● Saturday 16 June (6-10.30pm).

● All day Saturday tickets are also available.

Some sessions may have already sold out. Tickets are available from nottinghamcraftbeer.co.uk.
