Demi Moore Starred in the Steamy Podcast “Dirty Diana” and Now It's Becoming a Book: See the Cover (Exclusive)

The first in a three-part novel series based on the erotic scripted fiction podcast will hit shelves this fall

Is it getting hot in here, or is it just us? There's a new steamy, sexy, book on the way and this time, it's based on a hit podcast starring Demi Moore.

Dirty Diana by Jen Besser and Shana Feste is due out this fall from Dial Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House. It will serve as the first book in a three-part series based on the chart-topping erotic fiction podcast of the same name.

The scripted, six-episode podcast, also created and directed by Feste, portrays sex and longing from a female perspective, with her pleasure at its center. It also stars Betsy Brandt, Mackenzie Davis, Carmen Ejogo, Max Greenfield, Dayo Okeniyi, Penelope Ann Miller, John Tenney, Rhys Wakefield, Lesley Ann Warren and Dolly Wells. On top of those names, it featured cameos from Gwendoline Christie, Chris Diamontopolus, Lena Dunham, Melanie Griffith, Ava Grey, Andrea Riseborough, Rosa Salazar, Lili Taylor and Lesley Ann Warren.

"Too many women are made to feel that their sexuality is something dangerous, something that should be kept under wraps," says Moore, in a statement shared exclusively with PEOPLE. "Dirty Diana busts that myth wide open. Diana’s struggles will be relatable, and her awakening inspiring, to women everywhere. Dirty Diana is a deliciously entertaining, funny, tantalizing treat of a story."

Described by the publisher as "a deliciously provocative novel about a woman caught between the comfortable stability of her marriage and her memories of a more sensual past," the book version of Dirty Diana follows a couple whose spark has fizzled.

Diana Wood likes her job, loves her husband, Oliver, and they both adore their daughter. It's not that they don't see each other: She and Oliver even carpool together to their shared workplace. They're in "married love," and so what if they haven't had sex in months?

After Diana takes a trip to Santa Fe to see an old friend, she reconnects with the creative, spontaneous, sensual aspiring artist she used to be. And when she returns to their home in Dallas, she starts interviewing other women and painting their portraits as she does, trying to get back to the person she used to be. By encouraging them to share their fantasies and secret desires, can she reconnect with herself and maintain her safe, comfortable life?

We'll all just have to read to find out.
