Deontay Wilder refuses to rule out FOURTH Tyson Fury fight as he eyes 'easiest' option to reclaiming world title

Deontay Wilder admits he expects to face heavyweight rival Tyson Fury for a fourth time.

The duo's trilogy of world championship bouts between 2018 and 2021 - with Fury coming out on top in two occasions after the first meeting ended in a draw - have helped cement their heavyweight rivalry as one of the best in the modern boxing era. Since his last loss to Fury in October 2021, American Wilder looked set to earn another crack at world glory after making light work of Robert Helenius, only to suffer a shock defeat to former WBO world champion Joseph Parker back in December.

However, the 38-year-old is still a highly talked about fighter in the division, and has landed a lucrative spot on Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren's 5v5 card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 1, where he will face China's 2008 Olympic Games silver medalist Zhilei Zhang.

The "Bronze Bomber" is confident he can reach the pinnacle of the sport again and says he still has unfinished business with WBC champion Fury, who fights Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title on May 18. In an interview with Sky Sports, he said: "I do believe I will face Tyson Fury for a fourth time.

"The easiest night of the two [for me between Fury and Usyk] would probably be Oleksandr, I’ve never fought him before. Styles make fights, we’ve never fought each other so we don’t know each other, it would be different.”

Wilder, who has won 43 of his 47 fights by knockout, knows he is in for a tough night against fellow hard-hitter Zhang and is ready to go to war with "Big Bang." He added: “I’m expecting his A-plus-plus game, I like Zhang, I like him as a fighter and what he presents in the ring.

"Especially for the first half of the fight he seems like a true killer and somebody who is going to come and has nice technique and movement. Eventually he burns out and that might be the end of him dealing with a fighter like me, I can go. I like him, I like the fight. I love that he’s a hard hitter, I am as well, may the best man win."
