Deputy Rams DUI Suspect Off Road During High-Speed Chase

A DUI suspect was arrested in Tumwater, Washington, following a high-speed police chase on April 14 that ended with a deputy’s cruiser ramming the suspect off the road.

The Thurston County Sherriff’s office said they joined the overnight pursuit early on Sunday, as a Tacoma man entered Tumwater.

Dashcam video from the sheriff’s office shows one deputy in pursuit, who rams the suspect’s car in a PIT maneuver.

The driver, a convicted felon for robbery with a deadly weapon, and wanted for multiple counts of theft, assault and trespass, was sent back to Lewis County on new charges of DUI and attempting to elude a police vehicle. Credit: Thurston County Sheriff via Storyful
