A dessert shop has been forced to delay its opening due to "unforeseen technical issues."

Old Skool Afterz was due to open at Beach Street in Felixstowe on Friday.

The new eatery is owned by Joey and Louis James, who also run Big Bro Bao at the coastal leisure hub.

Its menu includes donuts inspired by classic desserts, such as cornflake tarts, as well as build-your-own crumble pots.

But Old Skool Afterz has been forced to delay its opening by one day due to technical issues.

In a statement on social media, the James brothers said: "We would like to advise our lovely customers that we had to delay our opening from July 5 to hopefully July 6.

"This is due to unforeseen technical issues."

Previously speaking about their latest venture, the donut shop was described by the brothers as an "all-new nostalgic dessert brand" taking inspiration from school desserts from the 1980s and 1990s and combining them with retro TV shows to create a unique dessert and donut experience.
