A 'bubbly and kind' mum tragically died just one month after falling ill with 'stomach pains'. Rebecca 'Becky' Evans, 35, sadly passed away on Sunday, May 5 leaving her family 'distraught' and 'shocked' by her rapid decline

Becky had intended to go on a family caravan holiday on the weekend of her death but her health rapidly declined in the days leading up to the trip and she lost the ability to walk before her tragic death, YorkshireLive reports.

Her family says she was coping well with her illness - the detail of which they have asked Yorkshire Live not to publish - before her health rapidly declined.

The popular mother-of-two lived in Hoyland with her partner Scott and their two children Evan, 10, and Freddie, six. Becky was a manager at The Range, in The Peel Centre, for about 15 years. Her death comes just five months after her mother Maureen died of cancer in December.

Paying tribute to Becky, her dad Adrian said: "Becky was so bubbly and kind. If anyone asked her for something, she'd be there at a drop of a hat, anytime.

"She'd do anything for anybody, she was just that kind of person. Becky was just lovely. We've been absolutely distraught. We just can't believe it. She was only 35 and this comes five months after her mum. It was such a shock."

Becky lived in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, with her family. Becky's sister-in-law Carey Evans said: "Becky was full of life, a real joker and always taking the mick out of everybody.

"She knew everybody, she was just lively and she liked football and just being friendly and chatty. She liked her wind-ups. Becky loved her kids and worked hard to provide for them.

"It's been a massive shock. On the Monday before she was fine, and then she just became ill really quickly. Before we could get any answers, she passed away. We're just trying to support her kids and Scott the best we can."

Carey and Becky's aunt Pat have launched a fundraiser help Scott, Evan and Freddie out during this difficult time. To help donate here.
