Devil May Cry TV series to join Castlevania on Netflix
First it was Assassin's Creed, and now it's time for Devil May Cry to join the ranks of Netflix's animated adaptation Castlevania – and its new shared universe.
Castlevania's executive producer Adi Shankar confirmed the exciting news to IGN, revealing that the iconic game series will join the Netflix show as part of a "multiverse".
"[Devil May Cry] will join Castlevania in what we're now calling the bootleg multiverse," Adi explained, before crediting the team's latest adaptation for Castlevania's recent renewal.

Although details on the upcoming Devil May Cry spin-off are few and far between, Adi did seem to reassure fans that its introduction to the small screen won't let them down.
"[I] acquired these [Devil May Cry] rights myself so the jabronis in Hollywood don't f**k this one up too," he joked.
This latest commission comes weeks after the third season of Castlevania was announced – although we at Digital Spy knew it was coming way before that.

Speaking to DS back in June, voice actor Richard Armitage revealed he was "about to record a third" run as Trevor Belmont, even though the second season hadn't even aired yet.
Seasons one and two of Netflix's Castlevania, which is based on Konami's 1989 video game Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, are available to stream on Netflix right now.
