A number of flood alerts have been issued across Devon as the Met Office imposes a yellow weather warning on the region over the next few days. The Met Office has issued a new 12-hour weather warning in the wake of Storm Kathleen as high winds are set to return to batter the West Country from Monday evening until Tuesday morning.

The Environment Agency said there is likely to be local coastal or tidal flooding along parts of the coasts of England from Monday to Wednesday. It added that land, roads and some properties may flood and there may be travel disruption.

Parts of South, West and North Devon will be affected as well as Plymouth. A yellow weather warning has been issued due to the risk of injuries or danger to life.
