A Devon outdoor instructor was tragically found dead at home with a shotgun wound. Andrew Miller, who was born in Stoke-on-Trent, lived in Liverton, Newton Abbot, where he passed away on June 8, at around 9.35pm.

An inquest recently opened into the 52-year-old's death at Exeter Coroner's Court. The short hearing heard he had a license for a shotgun and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Alison Longhorn, area coroner for Exeter and Greater Devon, said: "The circumstances are he was found at home by his wife with a gunshot wound to the head. He was a firearms certificate holder and the weapon he used was lawfully held.
