Jewelry sleuths had to do a double take when it came to the new Duchess of Wesminster's engagement ring on her wedding day.

On June 7, Olivia Henson married Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, at Chester Cathedral in northern England in a celebration attended by Prince William and Princess Eugenie.

The bride arrived at the church without any rings on her left hand and departed with a wedding band on her left ring finger. While engagement rings are traditionally worn on the left ring finger in the U.K. and the U.S., Olivia may have sported hers on her right hand as she was seen wearing a statement ring when she arrived at church with her father, Rupert Henson.

Though the accessory wasn't completely visible, the repeat pattern of scalloped edges and oval shapes on Olivia's bridal veil by British designer Emma Victoria Payne reflected her engagement ring setting.

When Olivia, 31, and Hugh, 33, announced their engagement in April 2023, the photo released to celebrate the news didn't reveal her engagement ring. The photo showed them together at Eaton Hall, Hugh's family's ancestral estate where he proposed, but without a glimpse of the sparkler.

Olivia appeared to be wearing her engagement ring when the couple visited their wedding venue last month. On May 7, Hugh and Olivia visited Chester Cathedral to highlight some of the good causes supported by the Westminster Foundation. The Duke of Westminster chairs the charitable foundation dedicated to helping vulnerable young people in Westminster and Chester, where his family's roots run deep.

Although her engagement ring wasn't on full display, the new Duchess of Westminster also accessorized with a stunning tiara for her bridal look.

The Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara showed her connection to her new family, as it was made for Grosvenor brides and has been in the groom's family since its creation in 1906. It was originally commissioned for the wedding of Lord Hugh Grosvenor and Lady Mabel Crichton, according to The Court Jeweller.

Although Hugh's mother, Natalia, opted for a different tiara at her wedding, Hugh's sister Lady Tamara sported the same family heirloom accessory when she wed Edward van Cutsem in 2004.

Before he tied the knot, Hugh was considered to be one of Britain's most eligible bachelors in light of his family's fortune and close royal connections. He inherited the dukedom at age 25 upon the death of his father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, and The Sunday Times' Rich List 2024 estimated the family's net worth at $12.8 billion.

A few weeks before the wedding, the outlet reported Hugh was the richest person in the U.K. under age 40 and the 14th wealthiest overall.

Hugh also chairs the Grosvenor Trustees, and his family's real estate portfolio includes 300 acres across posh London neighborhoods Mayfair and Belgravia as well as buildings in more than 40 cities around the world.

The Duke of Westminster is a godson of King Charles as well as a godfather to Prince William's eldest son Prince George, 10, and Prince Harry's son Prince Archie, 5. Hugh's special role for the next generation continues an informal tradition between the Grosvenors and the British royals, as his mother, Natalia, is a godmother to Prince William.

The Prince of Wales, 41, served as an usher at the June 7 wedding, helping some of the 400 guests find their place in the pews at the historic church.
