Rolf Harris Drives Prison Inmates Mad With Toilet Roll Didgeridoo

Rolf Harris has been infuriating fellow inmates with his home-made didgeridoos.

The disgraced entertainer has been constructing versions of the traditional aboriginal wind instrument out of toilet rolls and matchsticks.

And when they’re repeatedly confiscated, the convicted paedophile simply makes another.

The Sun reports that the former TV star carved a 3ft didgeridoo out of wood when based at HMP Bullingdon in Oxfordshire in 2014.

When this was confiscated, he turned to toilet rolls and matchsticks.

Rolf, 85, is serving five years and nine months for 12 indecent assaults on four girls. The offences occurred between 1969 and 1986.

While behind bars, the Australian-born entertainer has been embracing all the activities on offer at Stafford Prison.

As well as his didgeridoo production line, he busies himself by singing in the choir, bartering caricatures for chocolate and playing table tennis.

He’s also been penning songs linked to his incarceration, including the controversial Lying (Flat on her Back).

According to The Sun, the choice lyrics include this line: “So, open up girl, nice and wide, don’t keep those filthy lies inside, if there’s something to say, better say it’s yesterday, it’s broken hearts not wounded pride.”

A source told the paper: “Prison really isn’t that bad for Rolf - he’s getting a lot of fulfillment out of the activities on offer and is no doubt doing a lot more than other pensioners his age.”
