Discover Instagram-worthy Mersea Island beach huts: A colourful seaside escape

The beach huts on Mersea Island, Essex, have been dubbed an 'influencer's dream'. These charming pastel-coloured huts are situated on the western side of the island near West Mersea Holiday Park and make for a perfect summer photo opportunity.

Mersea is renowned for its oysters, fishing, nature reserves, and sailing. However, visitors need to plan their trip carefully due to the high tide that occurs twice daily, potentially blocking the road in and out of the island.

Once you've made it to the island, a visit to West Mersea to see these quaint huts is highly recommended. The Little Beach Hut Company assures that they're fantastic regardless of the weather, thanks to their interior glass doors.

The company states: "All have kitchen areas with sinks and gas cookers. All the huts are about five minutes walk from the car park, toilets, playground and cafe."

"These huts, available for day hire or longer periods, are perfect for families, groups of friends, couples or even as a peaceful retreat for one. To book please visit our website.", reports Essex Live.

In addition to this, the island offers boat trips, watersports, and a foot ferry.

Visit Mersea Island recommends: "Coast Road is home to some great establishments including the Victory Hotel, The Company Shed, The Oyster Bar restaurant and The Coast Inn, all with great views of the local boating community. Other eateries on the Island include The Fox Inn, the Mersea Island Fish Bar, The Dog and Pheasant and Mersea Barns."

"If you are looking for great lunchtime treats head to The Art Cafe, The Gilt Rooms, Maria's Vintage Tearoom or Coastal Coffee. Asian cuisine is available at the Titash restaurant in the High Street and Oriental from China Kitchen near the library."
