Disney+ announces bargain £1.99 deal
The Little Mermaid is just one of the many huge titles available to stream for less than £2
There has never been a better time to sign up to Disney+ as the streaming service has announced a special cut-price subscription of just £1.99 a month for three months ahead of the launch of its autumn slate.
Starting 6 September until 20 September, new and returning customers in the UK can subscribe to Disney+ for £1.99/month for three months – an £18 saving compared to the regular monthly price for three months – by visiting www.disneyplus.com.
New titles on Disney+ this week include 2023's live action The Little Mermaid, a new series of animated series I Am Groot, and the latest episodes of Only Murders In The Building and Star Wars: Ahsoka.
Coming later this autumn on Disney+ — which includes films and TV from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more — are new seasons of Welcome To Wrexham, The Kardashians, Loki, The Fool, new UK originals Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, and Culprits, along with new movies such as Lang Lang Plays Disney and horror thriller No One Will Save You starring Kaitlyn Dever.

Other recent highlights on Disney's streaming service include Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (plus pretty much every other MCU movie) and Secret Invasion, the critically acclaimed second season of The Bear (it's the best show on TV right now), The Full Monty, Flamin' Hot, and — of course — 2022's mega-hit Avatar: The Way of Water.
Disney+ is also the exclusive home of all all the Star Wars and Marvel live action series.
The price cut comes long after Disney+ made changes to its subscription tiers in August. A new £4.99 ad-supported tier was launched, making it the cheapest way to subscribe, while the price for its basic option Disney+ Standard was set at £7.99.
The premium tier — which offers 4K streaming on four devices at once — was increased to £10.99 a month.
