I go to Disney World all the time and always stay on the property. These 9 hotels give you the biggest bang for your buck.
I'm a frequent guest at Disney World and always stay at the on-property resorts when I visit.
Some hotels, like the All-Star Resorts and Pop Century, offer a better value than others.
Coronado Springs has epic amenities, and guests can use Marriott points at the Swan and Dolphin.
I've been to Disney World more times than I can count, and I always stay on the property. I love the convenience of being in the Disney bubble for the whole trip.
But even if you stay in one of Disney World's cheapest resorts, the average five-day vacation for a family of four costs around $6,000. I'm always trying to save money where I can, and I think I've found the hotels that offer the best value.
Here are the resorts I recommend that give guests the biggest bang for their buck.
The three All-Star Resorts are usually my go-to.
I often stay at one of the three All-Star Resorts (All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, or All-Star Sports), which share one property at Disney World.
They're usually the cheapest resorts and have the same general perks as the expensive ones. I don't need a ton of frills when I'm going to be at the parks all day, anyway.
The decor doesn't scream Disney, but it plays heavily into the hotels' respective themes.
Each resort has two pools, and guests can swim in any of the six during their stay. All the All-Stars also have their own food court and pool bar.
Most rooms across the resorts are standard (two queen beds). But there are family suites available at All-Star Music, and that's easily the cheapest way to accommodate a larger party at Disney World.
The one downside is that Disney buses are the only free transportation option if you want to get to the parks.
Pop Century Resort is a value resort with more luxurious perks.
Pop Century is in the value resorts tier, but it connects with the Disney Skyliner. Rather than relying strictly on Disney buses (which aren't the fastest transportation option), you can take a free gondola ride to other resorts, Epcot, or Hollywood Studios.
It typically has the cheapest rooms along the Skyliner path, making it a great value. Plus, it has three pools, a food court, and a pool bar.
The resort's theming plays into nostalgia, with elements inspired by decades from the 1950s to the 1990s. But the rooms themselves have pretty generic Disney decor.
Art of Animation Resort is the other value resort on the Skyliner path.
Art of Animation is also located on the Skyliner path, in fact, it's just on the other side of a bridge from Pop Century.
Although the resorts are similar, one major difference is that Art of Animation has bigger suites for larger parties to stay together.
The rooms are themed after "The Little Mermaid," "The Lion King," "Finding Nemo," and "Cars," and there are sketches of beloved Disney and Pixar characters throughout the resort.
Like Pop Century, Art of Animation has a food court, pool bar, and three pools (including Big Blue Pool, the largest on Disney property).
The restaurants, amenities, and decor at Coronado Springs Resort are fabulous.
Coronado Springs' decor has beautiful Mexican, Spanish, and Southwest influences.
It falls into the moderate pricing tier of Disney resorts but often has discounted rates that make it more comparable to value pricing. You also get access to a lot more activities.
Coronado Springs offers multiple food options, from grab-and-go snack counters, a food court, and casual quick-service locations to bars (including a pool bar), lounges, and an upscale tapas restaurant.
The resort has four pools, a waterslide, and the largest hot tub on Disney property. It also offers amenities like a spa, fitness center, and club-level concierge service.
The biggest trade-off is that buses are the only complimentary transportation here.
Guests can rack up Marriott rewards points at Disney's Swan and Dolphin resorts.
The deluxe Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve hotels offer arguably the biggest bang for your buck at Disney World.
The sister resorts are managed by Marriott, but guests still get all the best Disney perks since they're located on the property. This includes the deluxe perk of getting to stay late at the theme parks on certain nights.
Perhaps the biggest benefit of staying at the Swan, Dolphin, or Swan Reserve is that Marriott Bonvoy members can purchase rooms using travel points.
The hotels have upscale finishes and are often considerably cheaper than the other deluxe resorts. Though the Disney theming is minimal, the resorts offer 23 dining options, six swimming pools, three health clubs, a spa, and more.
Guests can walk or take a free boat to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and buses are available to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
