Distraught sister pays tribute to young Devon dad

Tributes have been paid to a young Devon dad who died in Cornwall. Ross Irwin passed away unexpectedly aged just 35.

An inquest in Truro has been opened into his death by the coroner for Cornwall and adjourned for a full hearing to take place at a later date. The coroner's report says the beloved family man from Holsworthy died in Bude on June 5.

Grieving loved ones have paid tribute to the sheet metal worker. His sister Laura Irwin told CornwallLive : "My brother was a much-loved family man - dad, uncle, brother, son. We were such a close family and he has left a massive hole in all our hearts."

She also wrote in tribute: "Words will never explain how I feel. Losing you is the hardest thing I have had to go through. It breaks my heart for all your three babies left behind. I will miss and love you and will never ever forget you. I promise I will look after your babies forever. Please I wish this wasn't true. I love you Ross. I will miss you for the rest my life my darling brother.

"My life is gone. I'm completely devastated. I loved him with all my heart. I just wish I could hug you one more time. I wish I could speak to you one last time. I wish I could hear your voice one last time. I love you my little bro' forever and always."

Laura's daughter Jade Tyler, who set up the GoFundMe fundraiser to help with Ross' funeral costs, said: "Forever in my heart uncle Ross. You were loved more than you'll ever know." She posted on the fundraiser: "Please help donate towards my uncle's funeral who tragically passed away unexpectedly. We would love to give him the best send-off he deserves."

Ross's nephew Luke Irwin: "R.I.P. to one of the best uncles ever. Can't believe you're gone. So heartbroken. Love and miss you so much. Fly high."

Ross's sister Amanda Irwin: "I miss you so much my baby bro'. I love you so much. Just hope my aunt is looking after you. I will always love you both so much, just please look after each other."

Ross's partner Maisie Mears said: "I just can't bear the pain anymore. I wish it wasn't real. Having to wake up everyday and realise those poor kids have to go without their dad and me without the man I've had my life with. I'll love him till the day I die."

Caleb Robertson shared: "Fly high Ross. Had some good laughs with him in the past, sending my love to you all."
